Hoe nauwkeurig is de snelheid?

VueSpeed gebruikt GPS voor snelheidsmeting. GPS-snelheid is doorgaans nauwkeurig tot ±2 km/u bij goed signaal. In tunnels of tussen hoge gebouwen kan de nauwkeurigheid afnemen. De app is geen vervanging van de snelheidsmeter in je auto.

Waarom klopt de snelheidslimiet niet?

Snelheidslimieten worden opgehaald via OpenStreetMap en Apple Maps. Deze bronnen zijn niet altijd volledig of actueel. Je kunt handmatig een standaardlimiet instellen in de instellingen. Dynamische limieten (matrixborden) worden niet ondersteund.

Gebruikt de app veel batterij?

GPS-gebruik kost batterij, vergelijkbaar met een navigatie-app. Voor langere ritten raden we aan je telefoon aan te sluiten op de autolader.

Worden mijn ritten gedeeld?

Nee. Al je ritgegevens worden uitsluitend lokaal op je iPhone opgeslagen. Er is geen server, geen cloud en geen account. Zie ons privacybeleid.

Hoe werkt het Head-Up Display?

De HUD-modus spiegelt het scherm horizontaal en zet de helderheid op maximum. Leg je telefoon plat op het dashboard met het scherm naar boven gericht. De snelheid wordt gereflecteerd op je voorruit.

Kan ik de app verwijderen en opnieuw installeren?

Ja, maar al je ritgeschiedenis wordt dan permanent gewist. Er is geen cloud-backup. Je instellingen worden ook gereset.

How accurate is the speed?

VueSpeed uses GPS for speed measurement. GPS speed is typically accurate to ±2 km/h with good signal. Accuracy may decrease in tunnels or between tall buildings. The app is not a replacement for your car's speedometer.

Why is the speed limit wrong?

Speed limits are fetched from OpenStreetMap and Apple Maps. These sources are not always complete or up to date. You can manually set a default limit in settings. Dynamic limits (variable signs) are not supported.

Does the app use a lot of battery?

GPS usage consumes battery, similar to a navigation app. For longer drives, we recommend plugging your phone into the car charger.

Are my trips shared?

No. All trip data is stored exclusively on your iPhone. There is no server, no cloud, and no account. See our privacy policy.

How does the Head-Up Display work?

HUD mode mirrors the screen horizontally and sets brightness to maximum. Place your phone flat on the dashboard with the screen facing up. Your speed is reflected onto the windshield.

Can I delete and reinstall the app?

Yes, but all trip history will be permanently erased. There is no cloud backup. Your settings will also be reset.
